Whoever posted these newspaper reports thank you.
Jean-Paul was my brother but I didn't find out about his existence until our father died in February 2009.
If anyone knows more about him I would be grateful if you would post contact details.

JP was my father. Looking forward to connecting with paternal family members.

I was JP's roommate for his last 6 months and had known him for about a year before. It was nice coming across this site, thanks to whoever put this up. JP was one of the most interesting people I'll ever have the pleasure of knowing.

I miss JP, and Ye Old Bookstore. Visalia lost a wonderful bookstore when they closed down the great space that was downtown .. and I lost a good friend when JP moved on.

I came across this site tonight, as I was missing him and thought to search the internet for any existing memories that may have been indexed.

Thank you indeed to whomever put this site up - seeing good ole JPs mug and reading his words was just what I needed.

Interesting site...I used to go into his shop when I was in high school (mid-80's). Always enjoyed talking to him, but as I was young I probably didn't know what he was talking about half the time. It seems as though he has passed away? Is this correct?

Hi everyone-Wow how cool it was to find this site. My friend and I were talking about JP tonight and I thought I would look around for him online. I was an 80s/90s teen visitor too. Ah yes! Seth Speaks, Carlos Casteneda, Theosophy, Astrology and many more. What a great guy. Remarkably I still have a small collection from Ye Olde Book Store. Although i spoke with him just a few times, I was a regular and through exposure to his collection I have been influenced to this day. Peace be with you JP! You are remembered~

It is truly wonderful to read other people,s memories of my brother, we had hardly any contact since he came to visit me in Sufffolk U.K. 1989. He influenced my own life in so many ways, he will always be with me.

I am shocked to have been told about this site by Eve! In 1966 i was 15 years old & smitten by Paul Beaver. We were girlfriend/boyfriend for about 2 years. He was truly an incredibly intelligent, creative person. I remember Pauls Mum, Jean, & his little sister Lynn. I even remember little Marcus Beaver.... sad circumstances... but its all too vague sadly ... must try to find old photograph.... feeling nostalgic & emotional... RIP Paul darling
